Trilu Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026 · Leer en español
Trilu ("the app") is a gratitude journal: each day you write down three good things. This policy explains what happens with your information.
What the app stores
Your journal entries, the photos you choose to add, and your settings (language, reminders, colors, lock). All of it is stored only on your phone, inside the app.
What we collect
Nothing. Trilu has no account, no servers of its own, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never receive your journal, your photos or anything about you. Everything except purchases works without an internet connection.
Photos
You add photos with your phone's camera or photo picker; the app does not ask for camera or gallery permissions. Trilu keeps a smaller copy inside the app and removes location and other hidden data from it. Your original photos are not changed.
Purchases and subscriptions
Trilu includes a 60-day free trial that needs no card. After that, you can subscribe (monthly or yearly) or buy lifetime access through Google Play's billing system. Google processes the payment; we never see your card or payment details. You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play. Without a purchase you can still read, search, export and back up your journal.
Sharing, exports and backups
Your data leaves your phone only when you choose to send it:
- Backup file and exports (backup .zip, text or PDF): created when you tap them and saved where you choose.
- Recommend Trilu: opens your phone's share menu with a short message and a link to the app. Your journal is never included.
- Android backup: if it is turned on, Android may include your journal text in your personal Google backup, under Google's terms. Photos and the lock are not included in that backup.
- Rate on Google Play: Google may show its own review window, handled by Google.
Permissions
- Notifications: for the daily reminder you choose.
- Run at startup: to restore your reminders after the phone restarts.
- Fingerprint: only if you turn on the lock with your fingerprint. Your fingerprint never leaves Android's secure system.
- Internet and network status, Google Play billing: used only by Google Play to show prices, process purchases and show the review window.
The lock
Your PIN is stored on your phone in a protected, irreversible form, never in backups or exports. While the lock is on, the app's content is hidden in the recent-apps screen and in screenshots.
Deleting your data
You can delete any day in the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes everything stored on the phone. Backup files you saved yourself stay wherever you put them.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
